MRS OSCAR KARLE

Friends here and in the Lowry community were sorry to hear of the
sudden death of Mrs Oscar Karle, which occurred last Tuesday, April 5th
at Denver, Colorado. The cause of her death was given as pumonary
hemorrhage.

Lillian Lordalen was born in Douglas county on a farm near Lowry,
February 7th, 1886 and died at the age of forty-one years, one month and
twenty-nine days. She grew to womanhood there and came to his city
where she learned the Millinery trade from the Knapton sisters. She
followed that trade until she was married to Oscar Karle on October 4,
1912. They continued to make this their home for ten years. About five
years ago they moved to Denver, Colorado where she passed away last
Tuesday.

She leaves to mourn her loss beside the bereaved husband, one little
daughter, Cleora, seven years of age, her father, Germond Lordalen, two
brothers, Carl and Gustaf of Lowry and three sisters, Christine in
California, Ingra of Minneapolis and Olive of Indianapolis. Her mother
preceded her in death last fall.

The remains accompanied by the bereaved husband and little daughter
and the sister, Olive, who went west on receipt of the sad news, arrived
here Saturday and the funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at three
o’clock at the Trysil church near Lowry. Rev Dalagher of Starbuck had
charge of the service and she was laid to rest in the cemetery there.
Owing to the distance Christine was not present at the funeral.
