Malvin Vee

Malvin Orvis Vee was born in Farwell, Minnesota, on August 9, 1918, the son of Soren and Helga (Hanson) Vee.  He was baptized and confirmed at Trysil Bethesda Lutheran Church and attended school at District No 27 and District 63 of Kensington.  Malvin’s lifetime occupation was farming and he lived and farmed around the Farwell and Kensington area.  His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting.  Mr Vee is a past member of Trysil Bethesda Cemetery Board.

Malvin died at the Douglas County Hospital on Sunday, June 9, 1985.  He is survived by his two sisters, Alice Vee of Kensington; Mrs Martin (Doris) Warter of Comstock, Minnesota; one brother, Olger Vee of Kensington; six nieces, two nephews, seven great nieces and nephews; three aunts and two uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 12, 1985, 11:00AM, at Solem Lutheran Church with Rev James Radatz officiating.  The soloist, Nelorie Moberg was accompanied by Marlys Jensen.

Pallbearers were Stanley Nygaard, Julian Nygaard, Sherman Wicklund, Lloyd Flaaten, Wencil Bjerk and Melvin Strommen.

Interment was at Trysil Bethesda Cemetery, Holmes City Township.

Services were directed by the Alexandria Funeral Home.
