Emma C Lordalen

Emma was born on January 2, 1900 in the Holmes City area. She was the
daughter of John and Christine Johnson. Emma was baptized and confirmed
at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria. She attended Pocket Lake
School.

Emma worked as a cook for several years at a hotel resort on Lake
Mary. In June, 1925, Emma married Carl Lordalen. They farmed in Lake
Mary Township. In June 1981, Emma became a resident of Knute Nelson
Memorial Home where she resided until her death September 26, 1987. She
is survived by one son, Carlos Lordalen and wife Ardell, one sister,
Alpha Swedberg of Hoffman, Minnesota, one stepson, two stepdaughters,
three nieces, one nephew and their families.

She was preceded in death by husband Carl in 1974, three sisters, one
brother and her parents.

Funeral services were held at Bethesda Lutheran Church where she was a
member for 57 years and also active for many years in the Ladies Aid, on
Tuesday, September 29, 1987, with Pastors Paul Swenson and Karen Soli
officiating. The organist was Carol Jacobson and soloist was Mrs
Leonard Blade.

Pallbearers were Milton Brede, Arthur Chermak, Bud Chan, Dale
Lindgren, Bob Robinson and Joe Kalina.

Interment was at Trysil Cemetery, Farwell, Minnesota.

Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
