Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 18 from the Farwell Lutheran church at 2:00 PM for Andrew Knutson who passed away June 8th at Reedsport, Oregon where he was overcome by sunstroke at a logging camp. The services were conducted by Rev. Schey and Rev. Hagstrom. Mrs. Leonard Holmen sang two solos, “Heaven Is My Home” and “Abide With Me”, with Mrs. Constance Bends at the organ. He was laid to rest in the Trysil Lutheran cemetery. The pallbearers were: Carlyn Knudson, Raymond Adolphson, Darrell Knudson and Wallace Arneson.

Andrew Knutson was born May 21, 1911 and was past 44 years of age at the time of his death. His boyhood years were spent in the Farwell and Brandon communities.

He is survived by four sisters and five brothers. They are: Mrs. A.H. Holing, Seattle, Wash; Mrs. Harry Max, Farwell; Mrs. S.S. McCabe, Reno, Nevada; Mrs. Martin Arneson, Pelican Rapids; Martin, Elbow Lake; Delphin, Los Angeles, Calif.; Arthur, Rice Lake, Wis.; George, Minneapolis; Leander, Duluth. There are also 15 nieces and eight nephews surviving.
