Andrew Knudson was born in Hemsedal, Norway, October 23, 1843. He immigrated to America in 1861, settling in Houston County, Minnesota. In 1884 he moved on his farm, four miles from Farwell, where he was engaged in farming until 1907 when he moved to Brandon where he had purchased a farm a couple miles south of town. He was engaged in farming until a few years later when he moved into the village of Brandon.

Sulig (Seelig), of Lewistown, Idaho, Mrs. Bertha Mosher, Big Harbor, Conn., (Gig Harbor, Wash)., Mrs. Anna Wilmot, Portland, Oregon, and Halvor of Tenakee, Alaska. In the death of Mr. Knudson, Douglas County has lost another one of the older settlers who had gone thru the hardships of pioneer life. By his cheerful and pleasant disposition Mr. Knudson had won many friends who mourn with the family over his departure. Chippewa Free Church has lost one of its staunch members who was always interested in its work and growth and was always present at services and other doings unless sickness prevented him. He gave freely to its supposrt and the maintenance of church schools and missions. Blessed be his memory.
