Orvin Johnson, age 59, of Lake Mary Township died Tuesday night at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Holmes City with the Rev. Leonard Jepson officiating. Interment is in the Trysil Cemetery, Holmes City. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home.

Johnson

Orvin Harold Johnson was born at Lowry, Minnesota on February 28, 1914, the son of Oscar and Alma Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Trysil Lutheran Church in Holmes City, Minnesota and attended the Glenwood High School at Glenwood, Minnesota. Mr Johnson was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Forada Rod and Gun Club.

He passed away at his home in Holmes City Township on Tuesday, July 10, 1973 at the age of 59 years.

Surviving are three daughters and one son: Marilyn (Mrs Delbert Kluver) of Alexandria; Elaine (Mrs Wm Kuhnau) of Alexandria, Cheryl (Mrs Gary Anderson) of Alexandria; Dennis Johnson in the Navy at Cornado, California; also surviving are twelve grandchildren and one brother, Arthur of Anoka, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Leonard and one infant son Harold.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14, 1973 at 2 pm from Trinity Lutheran Church, Holmes City, Minnesota, Rev Leonard Jepson officiating.

Interment was at Trysil Cemetery, Holmes City, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Melvin Mattson, Henry Holverson, Philip Johnson, Theodore Olson, Clarence Sperling and Clifford Sampson.

Mrs Leonard Blade, accompanied by Mrs Luther Myhr, sang “How Great Thou Art”.
