MRS SOREN VEE

Mrs Soren Vee was born, March 28th, 1892 of the parents Gjermund and Olegaard Hansen in Holmes City Township, Douglas County, Minn.  She passed away May 6th, 1942 at the age of 50 years, one month and eight days.

Mrs Vee was baptized May 22, 1892 in Trysil Congregation and confirmed Nov 15, 1908.  In Nov 24th, 1914 she was united in marriage to Mr Soren Vee.  To this union was born five children, one of whom died in infancy.

Mrs Vee is survived by her husband and four children, Olger, Melvin, Alice and Doris all at home.  Also four brothers, Henry and Norman of Farwell, and Peter and Gust of Canada; two sisters Manda (Mrs Christ Olson of Fargo), Tillie (Mrs Maurice Halvorson) of Minneapolis, one sister preceded her in death, Mary (Mrs Earl Talle).

Mrs Vee has always lived in the vicinity of her birth.  At the time of her death she lived on a farm near Kensington, Minn.  Her life was always her family.  In the home she was a loving wife and mother and there she will be missed by all her loved ones.  Those who knew her will miss a kindly faithful friend.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev A J Sheldahl Saturday, May 9th at 1:00 from the Hoplin funeral home and at 2:00 from Trysil church.

Interment was made at Trysil’s cemetery.

At the service Priscilla and Martin Myhr sang “Behold a Host” and “Safe in the Arms of Jesus.”  Miss Shogren of Alexandria sang a solo  “When Peace Like a River.”

The pall bearers were six cousins, George Steen, Parker, Clarence, Harry, Grant and Bennie Soberg.
