Soberg

Bennie Soberg was born in Farwell, Minnesota on August 17, 1901, the
son of Peter and Olive Soberg. He attended school and grew to manhood
in this community.

He was united in marriage to Sarah Myhr on June 22, 1928, after their
marriage they farmed in Holmes City community until 1955 when they moved o Alexandria, Minnesota. Mrs Soberg preceded him in death August 1, 1960.

Mr Soberg was employed by Hustads, Minnesota Motors and the City of
Alexandria.

Mr Soberg passed away at his home in Alexandria on January 26, 1975 at
the age of 73 years.

Surviving are three daughters: Marlene (Mrs Vernal Nelson) of
Kensington, Minnesota; Ardys (Mrs Harold Fischer) of Villard, Minnesota;
Gwendolyn (Mrs Robert Schultz) of Brandon, Minnesota; also surviving are twelve grandchildren and two sisters: Mrs Jennie Johnson of Burbank,
California; Mrs Gil Monson of Fargo, North Dakota.

Funeral Services were Friday, January 31, 1975 at 2 pm, Anderson
Funeral Chapel Alexandria, Minnesota. Rev Philip Westby officiating.

Interment was in Trysil Lutheran Cemetery, Farwell, Minn.

Pall bearers were Luther Myhr, David Soberg, Morris Soberg, Dennis
Johnson, Roger Soberg, and James Soberg.

Soloists were Tammy Fischer, Anne Nelson and Julie Nelson, who sang
“Beyond the Sunset” and “How Great Thou Art.” Anne Nelson accompanied hem.
