Salve Peterson died Monday afternoon of last week. The funeral was held Friday and the remains were buried at the Trysil cemetery.

Salve Pederson, one of the real old settlers of Holmes City township died at his home there Monday, Oct 25th, at the old age of 74 years and 3 months. He was born in Norway July 17, 1841, and came to this country in 1865, settling first in Wisconsin and where he married. In 1871 he bought a farm in Holmes City, where he made for his family a home and has since lived. Since his wife died two years ago he has made his home with his son, Tobias Pederson. The funeral will be held Friday at 11 o’clock from the home, and at 1 from the Trysil Norwegian Lutheran Church, Rev. Linseth officiating.

Salve and Anne had one son, Peder Tobias Pederson, born 30 Dec 1872. He married Maria Dorthea Fatland and farmed near Walcott, Richland county, North Dakota. They had no children together though Maria had two children from a previous marriage.
