Oliver C Reece Funeral Services Held October 8

Funeral services for Oliver C Reece were held Thursday, Oct 8, 1959,
at 2 pm from the Anderson Funeral Home, Rev H N Schey officiated.

At the funeral home, Mrs Stanley Femrite sang “Beyond the Sunset” and
at the church, Harold Bergby sang “Come Ye Disconsolate” and “Sleep in
Jesus” accompanied by Jerry Brakke.

The pallbearers were: Stanley Femrite, Murville Femrite, LeRoy
Molander, David Anderson, Gehard Isackson and James Soberg.

Interment was in the Trysil cemetery.

Oliver C Reece was born at Billings, Mont, May 30, 1909, the son of
Rev Andrew A and Alberta Reece. Rev Reece served churches at Butte,
Mont, and Madelia, Minn before coming to Alberta, Minn, where Oliver
grew to manhood. He was confirmed at Alberta and later graduated from
the West Central School at Morris and also took post-graduate work.

Oliver moved with his parents and family to Hemet, Calif. The Reece
family came to Holmes City township after Rev Reece’s retirement in
1936. Oliver has made his home in Holmes City township for the past 23
years. His father passed away on March 28, 1943; Oliver made his home
with his mother until she passed away on April 22, 1957.

Oliver passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct 4, at the age of 50
years, 4 months and 4 days.

He is survived by one brother, Marcus of Minneapolis; two nephews:
Paul and David; one niece, Martha; and four aunts: Mrs Olive Femrite of
Lowry, (Marie) Mrs Ole Finstad of Brainerd, (Anna) Mrs F Marek of Van
Nuys, Calif, and (Synneva) Mrs J Bunker of Palo Alto, Calif.
