Peter O  Petersen died Wednesday evening of last week at the home of his aged father in Holmes City township.  Mr Petersen was born in Norway, August 11, 1859, and came with his parents to America when six years of age and had always resided at home.  He was of a kind and loving disposition and his first thought had always been for his aged father, who is quite feeble.

Mr Petersen leaves his aged father, Ole Pedersen, five sisters and two brothers.  The sisters are Mrs Anton Hanson, of Holmes City; Mrs Martha David, of Spruce Hill; Mrs George Imes, of Thermopolis, Wyoming; Mrs Thilda Grotte and Mrs Elmer McCann, of Minneapolis.  The brothers are Andrew and Edward Petersen, who resided at home.  All were present at the funeral except Mrs Imes, of Wyoming.

The funeral was held Monday forenoon at ten o’clock, the Rev S J Linseth, of Farwell, conducting the services.  The interment was in the Trysil cemetery.  The pall bearers were O F Swenson, Martin Johnson, Anton Hanson, Adolph Haatvedt, Andrew Sodergren, Hans Hanson.

The members of the family wish to thank the friends and neighbors who lent such kindly assistance during the illness and at the time of the death of their son and brother.  Also for the many beautiful floral tributes.
