Newpaper obituary: Alexandria Post News, Jan 15, 1914, page 2, col 6

Mrs Peterson, wife of Salve Peterson, of Holmes City township, died last Saturday morning, aged sixty-seven years.  Mrs Peterson had been an invalid for about six years.  The death of Mrs Peterson removes one of the old residents of that part of Douglas county, Mr and Mrs Peterson having settled near the east end of Oscar lake many years ago.  In the years that Mrs Peterson has lived in the old home she has made many friends who, with her aged husband and only son, will mourn her departure.  The son, Tobias Peterson, Walcott, ND, attended his mother’s funeral, which was held this afternoon at one o’clock at the Trysil church, Rev B A Benson officiating.
