Mrs Amos Pearson

Mrs Olive Pearson was born in Douglas County, Minnesota on March 23,
1894, the daughter of Germund and Ingrid Lordalen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith; attended School District #14 in Lake
Mary Township. She also attended Business College in Minneapolis. She
later moved to Indianapolis where she was united in marriage to Amos
Pearson (who was a Methodist Minister.) They operated a print shop at
Indianapolis before they moved to Guthrie, Minnesota where they lived
for about thirty years. Then moved to Park Rapids, Minnesota, after the
death of her husband, where she resided until May 1977 when she came to the Knute Nelson Memorial Home in Alexandria.

Mrs Pearson was an active member of the Salvation Army.

She passed away on Thursday, November 24, 1977 at the Douglas County
Hospital at the age of 83 years.

Surviving are two step-children; Mrs Pauline Farland of Westport, Pa;
North Carolina; Melvin Pearson of Indianapolis, Indiana; one nephew and
three nieces: Carlos Lordalen of Lowry, Minnesota; Jane Lordalen of St
Paul; Elaine (Mrs Lyle Moe) of Willmar, Minn; Clara (Mrs Donald
Giseburt) of Denver, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and
four sisters.

Funeral services Tuesday, November 29, 1977, 11 AM at Anderson Funeral
Home, Alexandria, Minn with Rev David Larson, and Rev Paul Ranum
officiating.

Interment at Trysil Cemetery, Holmes City, Minn.

Pall bearers were Harold Myhr, Merville Femrite, Ernest Prchal, Arthur
Isackson, Robert Robinson, Vernon Chan.

Mrs Donald Alstead accompanied Mrs Leonard Blade as she sang “He The
Pearly Gates Will Open” and “Children of the Heavenly Father.”
