Priscilla Hilda Myhr

Priscilla Myhr was born in Holmes City Township, Douglas County on July 1, 1897, the daughter of Peter and Hanna Strandvold Myhr.  She was baptized at Trysil Lutheran Church.  She was a member of this church for many years and was also the organist.  She lived at home with her parents and at the time of her brother’s death she moved to Alexandria, Minnesota, which has since been her home.  She passed away at the Viking Towers on Saturday, December 10, 1977 at the age of 80 years.

She is survived by five nephews and seven nieces and a host of friends.  Priscilla was a member of the First Lutheran Church and took very active parts in many organizations.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.  Henry, Martin and Albert, Mrs. Roger Christopherson, Mrs. Helga Lindseth, Marie.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec 14, 1977 at 10:30 a.m.  First Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Minn. with Rev. Philip Westby officiating.

Interment was in Trysil Cemetery, Holmes City, Minn.

Mrs. M. Midboe was organist.  Harold Bergby, soloist, sang “Den Store Hvide Flock” and “How Great Thou Art”.

Pall bearers were Luther Myhr, Harold Fischer, Dennis Johnson, Robert Schultz, Vernal Nelson, Philip Buer.
