HOLMES CITY
Last Friday the little 4-year old daughter of Peter Myhr was burned. Her mother was out watering the cattle and her away from home. With the exception of a baby in its cradle and an aged grandfather up stairs, the little girl was alone in the house. When found by her mother her clothes were afire and she was so badly burned that death ensued in a few hours.

Helga, the three year old daughter of Peter O. Myhr of Holmes City, met with a terrible accident last Thursday just after dinner. While her mother was out doors for a few moments the child’s clothing caught fire from the stove and before the fire could be extinguished the upper part of her body and head was burned in a horrible manner. Dr. Boyd was sent for and arrived about dark but no earthly help could save her. She died at eleven o’clock that night.
