Curtis Monson

Curtis Wilbur Monson the 14 year old son of Mr and Mrs G E Monson of Argusville, N Dakota, formerly of this vicinity passed away at St Lukes hospital at Fargo Wednesday October 10 at 7:30 pm.  Curtis was born at Munick, N Dakota, March 29, 1914.  When he was three years old he moved to this vicinity.  After that he has lived near Argusville, N Dakota.

His death was caused by internal injuries received from falling down stairs in an old house, to which he and his brother rode horse back Sunday, nothing seemed to effect him until he came home.  He was taken to the hospital, where an operation was given him.

Although he had many hardships and much to go through at the hospital he bore it all bravely and looked forward to the time he could return home.

Funeral services were held at the funeral home in Fargo, Friday at 2 o’clock, Rev Gerberding of the English Lutheran church officiated.  The pall bearers were Earl Wooden, Obert Stingsby, Raymond Anderson, William Wingfield, Clyde Enaig and Glen Knutson.

He was laid to rest by Trysil church and the burial took place Saturday at 11 o’clock.

The bereaved family has the sympathy of their many friends and relatives of this community.
