Mass of Christian Burial was held for Jeremy Jay Lanigan, son of John and Theresa Lanigan, on Saturday, November 22, 1986, at the St Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Reverend Al Ludwig was the Celebrant with music provided by organist Lynn Lynch and soloist Carol Hughes.
Pallbearers were Jim Drewes, Darwin Nygaard, Jerome Lanigan, Kevin Lanigan, Tom Heidelberger, and Raymond Doebber. Interment was in the Trysil Cemetery in rural Farwell. Parish Prayers were held on Friday, November 21, 1986, at 9:00pm from the Anderson Funeral Chapel.
Jeremy was born on June 27, 1976, in Starbuck, Minnesota, and passed away on November 17, 1986, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis at the age of 10 years. At the time of his death he was a student at Lincoln Elementary School in Alexandria.
He is survived by parents: John and Theresa Lanigan of Alexandria; brothers: Jesse and Justin Lanigan of Alexandria; sister: Jodi Lanigan of Alexandria; grandparents: Julian and Arline Nygaard of Farwell, Mike and Marie Lanigan of Alexandria; great grandmother: Susan Lanigan of Parkers Prairie. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, and cousins.
