MRS DORTHEA KNUDSON

Mrs Dorthea Mauseth Knudson passed away suddenly at her home in
Farwell on Saturday, March 29 at the age of 76 years.

Dorothea Mauseth was born in Surendalen, Norway, October 14, 1864.
She was baptized and confirmed in Norway. She lived in Norway until she
was 18 years of age and then moved to Minnesota.

She was united in marriage to Andrew Knudson in 1885 and has lived in
this vicinity since that time. Her husband preceded her in death in
April, 1924.

She is survived by seven sons, John of Brandon, Martin of Voltaire,
ND, Delpihn of Minot, ND, Arthur of Rice Lake, Wisc, George of Halstead,
Leander of Hankinson and Andrew of Farwell and four daughters: Gena
(Mrs Anton Holling) of Seattle, Wash, Martha of Portland, Ore, and Alma
(Mrs Martin Arneson) of Pelican Rapids, Knute, Arthur and Ruth passed on
before. Also survived by one sister living in Norway and a sister, Mrs
Tonneson from North Dakota. She is also survived by five stepchildren,
Halvor, Marie (Mrs Seelig), Alette (Mrs Campbell) of Spokane, Wash,
Bertha (Mrs Moshier) of Gig Harbor, Wash, and Anna of Portland, Ore.
There are 27 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 and at the Lutheran
church at two o’clock last Wednesday; Rev Sheldahl officiating. Mrs A J
Sheldahl and Helen Velander sang “In Heaven Above” and “We Should See
Jesus” at the services. They were accompanied by Mrs J O Opheim.

The pall bearers were her six sons; honorary pallbearers were Wm
Anderson, J O Opheim and O E Bollum of Farwell and Richard Dahl, Emil
Bergh and Gilman Hanson of Brandon. She was laid to rest in the family
lot at Trysil. Many beautiful flowers were given and memorial gifts of
$31.25 were given by relatives and friends.
