JORGENSON

Martin Jorgenson was born in Ben Wade Township, Pope County on
November 26, 1895, the son of George and Marit Jorgenson. He
attended school and grew to manhood in this community. Mr Jorgenson
served in World War One. He was united in marriage to Minnie Stark who
preceded him in death. Mr Jorgenson was engaged in carpenter work in
Lowry and Alexandria until his retirement.

Mr Jorgenson passed away at the Bethany Home in Alexandria on Tuesday,
February 15, 1972 at the age of 76 years.

He is survived by one brother, Henry Jorgenson of Lowry, Minnesota,
one sister, Mary Jorgenson of Lowry, Minnesota, a nephew George
Jorgenson of Minneapolis and a sister-in-law, Mrs Ella Jorgenson of
Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, Iver and Jonart
and his parents.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 18, 1972, at 1:30pm from
the Anderson Funeral Chapel, Alexandria, Minnesota, the Rev Philip
Westby officiating.

Interment was at the Trysil Lutheran Cemetery, Holmes City, Minnesota.

Pall bearers were Harry Gulson, James Caldis, Henning Erickson Sr,
Arthur Lindahl, Emil Peterson, Robert Schulz, August Zeibell, David
Jones, Rueben Peterson, Francis Soderholm, Sam Severson, and Lester
Young.

Mrs Floyd Anderson accompanied by Mrs Arthur Tangen sang, “Under His
Wings” and “Softly and Tenderly.”
