MRS MARTIN JOHNSON

Mrs Martin Johnson passed away at her home in Lake Mary township on Friday, August 3rd, after a lingering illness of carcinoma.

Pauline Peterson was born on March 26, 1880 in Fobreg, Norway and died at the age of 54 years, 4 months and 7 days. In 1883 she immigrated to America and was united in marriage to Martin Johnson in May, 1912, settling at Holmes City, which has been their home ever since.

She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband, one brother, Chris Peterson of Hastings, Minn, and one sister, Inga Peterson, who had been staying at the home of Mr and Mrs Johnson, caring for her sister. She is also survived by a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 7th, at 2 o’clock at the Trysil church, Rev A B Walfrid, officiating. Miss Priscilla Myhr sang “Den Store Vide Flok” at the services. Interment was made in the Trysil church cemetery. The pallbearers were Victor Skoglund, Peter Sjogarden, George Olson and Louis, Mandt and Emil Gulbranson.
