Mrs Lannie Isackson
Evelyn Isackson was born on December 25, 1912, in Holmes City
Township, Minnesota, the daughter of Emil and Cora (Gray) Gulbranson.
She attended rural school and was active in the Trysil Lutheran Church.
On April 10, 1935, Evelyn was united in marriage to Lannie Isackson.
The couple farmed in rural Lowry until Mr Isackson’s death in 1976. She
has been active in First Lutheran Church’s LCW, Dorcus Work Day, and
other activities. Evelyn died on July 6, 1981, at the Douglas County
Hospital at the age of 68 years. She is survived by her two sons,
Arthur Isackson of Lowry and Doren Isackson of Storden, Minnesota; two
daughters: Mrs Erland (Eleanor) Carlson of Mendota Heights and Mrs
Ronald (Marion) Wrolson of Cottage Grove; brother, Orin Gulbranson of
Vanderhoof, British Columbia; sister, Mrs Edward (Muriel)Knapp of
Alexandria; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 9, 1981 at 10:00am from the First
Lutheran Church of Alexandria, Minnesota with Reverend Philip Westby and
Reverend Ronald Otterson officiating.
Interment was in the Trysil Lutheran Cemetery of Holmes City,
Minnesota. Pallbearers were Rodney Femrite, Dennis Gulbranson, Allen
Johnson, Kenneth Mauseth, Gerald Olson and Ted Swenson.
Music was provided by organist, Erling Rolfsrud, and the First
Lutheran Church Singing Mothers.
Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home of Alexandria.
