Anna Himle
Anna Josephine Himle was born in Holmes City township, Jun 15, 1877 and passed away Aug. 4, 1945 at St. Luke’s hospital following an illness of about three months. She was baptized in early infancy and confirmed by Rev. H. Hanson Hagen in Trysil church Oct. 16, 1892. Since moving to Alexandria in 1932, she has been a faithful attendant of Bethesda church while still retaining her membership in the Trysil church. She was the daughter of Lars and Ingeborg Himle of Holmes City.

Surviving her is a nephew, Harry Bonga who has made his home with her since he was three years old. Her parents, five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Anna was of a quiet and kind disposition and will be missed by many friends, especially by her nephew Harry to whom she had been as a mother.

Funeral services were held from Bethesda Lutheran church tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. L.B. Sateren. Mrs. Sateren sang two lovely solos, “I Heard the Voice of Jesus”, accompanied by Ruth Hanson who also sang “Abide With Me”. She was accompanied by Mrs. Sateren.

Burial took place in the family lot in Trysil cemetery. There were many beautiful floral tributes and memorials given in her memory. The pallbearers were Carl Soderholm, Holger Hanson, Richard Chase, John Nelson, Olaf Larson and Hildur Berglund.
