Henry Olaf Hanson Funeral Services Held August 14th

Funeral services for Henry Olaf Hanson were held Tuesday, August 14, at 1:00 p.m. from the Engstrom Maetzold Funeral home. Rev. Siegfried Linseth officiated. Priscilla Myhr sang “Children of the Heavenly Father” and “I Know of a Sleep in Jesus Name’, accompanied by Mrs. Neal Pearson.

Casket bearers were Elvin Gulbranson, Harold Myhr, George Olson, Percy Olson, Alger Vee and Malvin Vee.

Interment was in the Trysil church cemetery.

Henry Olaf Hanson was born in Holmes City township Oct. 10, 1884, the son of Gjermund and Ellen Hanson. He was baptised and confirmed in the Trysil Lutheran church and was a life long resident of Holmes City township.

Henry Hanson passed away Saturday, August 11, 1962 at the University hospital, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 1 day.

Surviving are 2 sisters, (Manda) Mrs. Christ Olson, of Fargo, N.D.; (Tillie) Mrs. Maurice Halvorson of Minneapolis; 3 brothers, Peter of White Rock, British Columbia, Canada; Gust of Cereal, Alberta, Canada and Norman of Farwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
