SANDER FEMRITE

Sander Femrite, son of Mr and Mrs Sivert Femrite, pioneer resident of Holmes City township passed away early Sunday at the Minnewaska hospital at Starbuck.  He had been in failing health for several years and sought relief in many hospitals the past year, but to no avail.

He was born August 27, 1891 ( Grant is his twin) in Holmes City township and died at the age of 50 years, 1 month and 8 days.

Mr Femrite grew to manhood in Holmes City township, attended the rural schools and was baptised and confirmed in the Trysil Norwegian Lutheran church.  His entire life was spent on the home farm (where he continued to live) since the death of his father, 20 years ago.   He was one of a family of seven children of whom five survive, together with his aged mother, to mourn his loss.  One sister, Bertha (Mrs Gust Johnson) died three years ago.

The sisters and brothers are:  Henry of Lowry, Mrs Tillie Myhr of Farwell, Mrs Annie Mauseth of Farwell, Jennie at home and Grant in St Paul.  He leaves many other relatives and friends.

He was a find and dutiful son, a faithful church member and a helpful neighbor.  He will be missed by a wide circle of friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 8 at 1pm from the residence and at 2 from the Trysil church; Rev Sheldahl officiating.  Interment was made in the church cemetery.
