An Old Citizen Gone

The readers of the Post will remember the account of the tornado in Holmes City, last June, and the instant killing by the falling of their dwelling house of Mrs. Engemoen and the serious injury of her husband, Halvor H. Engemoen.  This gentleman never recovered and his death occured on the 10th inst.  The funeral services were delayed till the 19th, in order that his children from Minneapolis and the Red River might be present.  The services occurred at the Trysil Norwegian Church in Holmes City under charge of the pastor, Rev. C. Sougstad.  Mr. Engemoen was sixty-two years old.  He came from Norway to Douglas County ten years ago and was one of the first settlers in Holmes City.
