Mrs. Olga Engemoen Laid to Rest
Services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Olga Engemoen, 83, a longtime resident of Polk County. Rev. David Halbakken conducted the services at the Concordia Lutheran Church. Mrs. Engemoen died Saturday in a Crookston hospital.

Olga Lang Engemoen was born in Osterdalen, Norway in 1880 to parents Ole and Olea Bakken. At the age of three the family moved to America and settled on a farm south of Erskine, Minn. Later the family moved to Thief River Falls, Minn.
In 1904 she was united in marriage to Andrew W. Lang. To this union was born seven children.
Mr. Lang passed away in 1924, and in 1926 she was married to Theodore Engemoen, who passed away in 1956.
After her marriage to Mr. Lang they resided in Woodside and Garden townships. where Mrs. Lang was an outstanding worker in the Union Lake Lutheran Church. She organized Sunday School and taught Parochial School.
The last years she has been living in the homes of her children. The last year before entering the rest home at Crookston she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kensal Bolstad in Fertile, MN.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Kensal Bolstad (Miriam) of Fertile; Mrs. Charles Smith, (Elenor) and Mrs. Elmer Wright (Ruth), both of Minneapolis; Mrs. Wally Edwards, (Dorothy) of Bellview, Wash; Mrs. Harvey Ren, (Bernice) of Moses Lake, Wash; two sons, Frederick of Minneapolis and John W. of Thief River Falls; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Engemoen were held Nov 5, 1963 from Concordia Lutheran church with Rev. D.S. Halbakken officiating. Mrs. J.B. Austinson was the organist and Mrs. Alice Skeim was the soloist.
Pallbearers were Jasper Anderson, Carl Oswald, Laurence Burslie, Gerald Strem, Marvin Olson and Conrad Osmondson.
Interment was in the Dovre Cemetery, Winger, MN. Erikson-Vik Funeral Service, Fertile, MN was in charge of the services.
