Christofferson Funeral On Thursday
Funeral services will be Thursday morning in Eugene for Mrs. Chris (Ragna) Christofferson, 84, who died Tuesday at a Portland hospital.
Mrs. Christofferson, who had been ill for several years, was born in Starbuck, Minn., on Jan. 8, 1879. She came to Eugene in 1923 with her family, and had been a resident of Portland for the past year.
She was a long-time member of Central Lutheran Church in Eugene, and was active in the church women’s programs. A memorial fund in Mrs. Christofferson’s memory is being established at the church.
Mrs. Christofferson’s husband died in 1933.
Survivors include two sons, Arne and Paul, both of Eugene; five dqughters, Mrs. Clifford Defoe of Eugene, and Mrs. Robert Rose, Mrs. Floyd Case and Mrs. Harold Kohler, all of Portland, and Mrs. John Larsgaard of Tacoma, Wash.; two sisters, both of Minnesota, and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, at Central Lutheran Church, 18th Avenue and Potter Street, Eugene with the Rev. Olaf Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
